PGA West Golf Courses
Jack Nicklaus Tournament CourseEstablished: 1987 - Architect: Jack Nicklaus - Holes: 18 - Regulation Par: 72
Has hosted the Grand Slam of Golf Wendy's Tree Tour Challenge and is home to the PGA 's Tour Qualifying School. It features contoured fairways, undulating greens and deep sand bunkers. A tamer version of the Stadium Course. Elevated tees, forced carries over water and huge, multi-tiered greens are the Jack Nicklaus trademark. Bent greens.
TPC Stadium CourseEstablished: 1986 - Architect: Pete Dye - Holes: 18 - Regulation Par: 72
The original home of the Skins Game, this Pete Dye designed, world famous course has been viewed by millions on TV. The ultimate challenge awaits you at this "see it to believe it" golf course. Packed with pot bunkers, sand, water and sidehill lies. One of the course highlights is a 19-foot-deep, greenside bunker that flanks the par-5 16th hole. The TPC is considered one of the 100 greatest courses in the world.
Arnold Palmer Private CourseArnold Palmer has created some of the fairest and most natural tests of golf in the world. Nowhere is this truer than the PGA WEST Arnold Palmer Private Course. With his trademark use of gentle curves and rounded bunkers, Palmer sculpted five par threes and five par fives into the course, creating many opportunities for heroics. The most challenging opportunity comes at the 532 yard, par 5 finishing hole, where the brave player can take a chance over the rock-lined lake, go for the green in two, and finish a memorable round with a birdie, or maybe even eagle! The 9th hole on this course was ranked the hardest Hole on the PGA TOUR (1994), based on players stroke average during the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.
Jack Nicklaus Private CourseThis trademark Nicklaus design features terraced fairways and target greens complemented by the unique desert terrain. Nowhere is the Nicklaus look more evident than on the dramatic 2nd hole, a 406 yard, par 4, where the view of the green from the fairway shelf is nearly obscured by a mammoth boulder that sits on the front edge of the green. And that is just the beginning of a uniquely challenging and thoroughly enjoyable journey on the Jack Nicklaus Private Course.
Tom Weiskopf Private CourseThe elegant Scottish links of the Tom Weiskopf Private Course offer a spectacular addition to the PGA WEST roster of courses. Like other Weiskopf designs, this course is getting rave reviews from golfers of all levels and ages. The large, rolling greens and liberal use of parallel waste areas gives this course a decidedly links-style feel. One of the most unique features of the course is the special "Bye" hole, or 19th hole, that is used to decide the outcome of matches tied after 18. This short par 3 is over water the entire way, and finishes with a diabolical donut-shaped green that surrounds a yawning pot bunker right in the middle!
Greg Norman Private CourseThis newest course at PGA WEST designed by Greg Norman lies in a seabed 40-feet below sea level surrounded by an immense crescent of terra-cotta mountains. The course teems with purple, white and yellow wildflowers, while the mix of tall and short native grasses produce different shades of green running almost to silver. The grass covers just 60 acres of tight fairways that taper toward the greens with nine ponds covering 18 acres. The demands of this course are a challenge for players of all levels.
